Welcome to the website for the Official EU Low Income Housing Project.

The project is for the support to the Low Income Housing Sector in Guyana and is executed in collaboration with the Central Housing and Planning Authority and the Ministry of Housing and Water located at 41 Brickdam and United Nations Place, Stabroek, Georgetown, Guyana.

Project Funded under the 8th European Development Fund (EDF)

The Technical assistance contract between the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, European Commission and GTZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Technische Zusammenarbeit) International Services was signed on 16 November 2004. The Project commenced on 24 January 2005 and will run for 45 months. The objective of the programme is to provide services for 4000 houselots in new schemes and 1650 lots in up-graded squatter settlements in addition to several community support components.
